Last night one of our traumas was a 72yo male with a GSW (Gun Shot Wound) to the chest. Story goes he was responsible for the 3 prior GSW's that night who apparently broke into his house and tried to rob him. After the gunfight he went back to sleep (bleeding from his chest). His son called 911 when he found out what happened. When asked if he had any allergies in the trauma room he replied " Yes.. Bullets." Well put sir!

(Fat African lady around 350lbs) Comes in by ambulance with chest pains and saying she is having a heart attack. The story turns out that she ate a bunch of spicy food, took a hand full of muscle relaxers, and sat in a hot tub for a few hours. That is when she apparently had a massive bowel movement with a life changing amount of diarrhea. She was still covered in diarrhea when she showed up, and her heart was fine and the chest pains were from acid reflux.

One night a fat Biker guy was brought in by the paramedics. Despite wearing lots of leather gear, he looked shredded. You could smell the Tequila thru the double entrance doors. We scramble and get him into the trauma room, where he eventually regains consciousness. The State Patrol asks what happens, and all he remembers his that he got off his bike to take a piss. The Patrolman asks how fast he was going before he stopped, the guy answers "oh, man, I think I forgot to stop first."

here's a good one for you.. we all need friends like this.. this lady came to the triage window.." my friend is in the back seat, she was hit and is acting crazy" we went out, the girl in the backseat had been ran over by a car.. come to find out later, the friend had ran her over, put her in the backseat, and drove her to the hospital! Now that is a true friend :)

I thought it was impossible to make a doctor blush BUT I did it. I simply asked the male patient why he thought it was safe to climb a ladder naked to change a light bulb. And how did he shove it up his rectum while he was falling without breaking it. I told him that he was very talented

We had a kid come in who swallowed a couple of industrial strength magnets, and had a perforated small bowel with necrosis because two of them connected in the small intestine.
