Manual Labor isn’t for Everyone

We had a male patient come in with a bandage on his hand and a shirt covered in sweat and dirt. Turns out, he had been outside digging a hole in his yard without any work gloves on. Looking at his hand, he had a blister the size of a golf ball. He kept complaining how much it hurt and that he thought it was growing in size by the minute.

We aspirated the blisters, gave him two aspirin and sent him home. I guess some people aren’t cut out for hard work.
